Kwara House of Assembly at a Glance.
The Kwara State House of Assembly (KWHA), like those of other States of the federation, is the legislative body, that is, the legislative arm of government, often referred to as the Legislature. it is the official body of law makers chosen by a democratic election in Kwara State with power to make laws, amend or repeal laws for the peace, order and good governance of the State, and for the good of the people, without prejudice to, or conflict with the provisions of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended).
It must be stated clearly that the State Legislature does not have power to legislate on National issues, as these are the responsibilities of the National Assembly.

The Clerk
The Clerk to the House of Assembly is the Chief Administrative and Accounting Officer. As a Civil Servant, he provides both administrative and legislative advice to all Hon. Members of the Assembly.
House Leader
Hon. Oba Abdulkadir Magaji is the member representing Ilorin Central Constituency and Majority Leader of the 10th Kwara state legislature. He is nominated from the majority party (APC) and in accordance with the House Rule, Chairs the House Committee on Rules and Business. He actively participates in leading the business of the House. He is assisted by the Deputy House Leader.
Deputy House Leader
Hon. Abdulraheem Medinat Tunrayo is the member representing Lanwa/Eji/Dongari Constituency and Deputy House Leader of the 10th Kwara Assembly. As the Deputy Leader, she liaises with party leadership and leads discussions on major issues amongst other non-partisan duty.
