Hon. Ojo Olayiwola Oyebode was born on the 4th of April, 1975 into the family of Mr. & Mrs. James Ibitoye Ojo of Aworo Compound, in Ipee of Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

Hon. Ojo had his primary education at Baptist Local Government Education Authority School, Ipee, between 1984 – 1989. He went further to attend Jama’at Nasir Islam School at Owu-Isin, Kwara State for his Secondary Education between 1996 – 2002. Having successfully obtained his SSCE in flying colours and being a zealous person who is always craving for more knowledge, the young Ojo, gained admission into Federal Polytechnic, Offa to study Accountancy. He graduated from the Polytechnic in the year 2005 with a National Diploma in Accountancy.

As a vibrant young man with the zeal to serve humanity, Hon. Ojo had no choice than to harken to the clarion call of his people. With Democracy staging a firm foot, Hon. Ojo contested and won the Ipee Ward Councillorship in Oyun Local Government of Kwara State between 2007 – 2010. After a stint as a councilor, he thereafter became the Vice-Chairman of Oyun Local Government.

With his record breaking political exploit at the Local Government level, the grassroot politician was further persuaded to represent the people of Oke-Ogun State Constituency under the then opposition party, the APC. At the polls, Hon. Ojo recorded a landslide victory in the 2019 general election of his State Constituency. Having served his people meritoriously the scenario of 2019 repeated itself in 2023 with a resounding victory to represent the people of Oke-Ogun for the second term.

Meanwhile, his outstanding performance as the Chairman, House Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources and his diligence to general legislative responsibilities from 2019 to 2023 endeared him to his colleagues who unanimously nominated and elected him to serve as the Deputy Speaker of the 10th Legislature in Kwara State.

Hon. Ojo is a devoted Christian and happily married with 3 kids. His hobbies include reading, football and politics.
