Kwara Deputy Speaker raised performance bar in Moro – Oniwa

Chairman, All Progressives Congress, Kwara North Senatorial District, Alhaji Isiaka Oniwa says in the history of Moro Local Government , Hon. Matthew Okedare representing Lanwa/Ejidongari Constituency in the State House of Assembly has set a standard for those coming behind. Oniwa added that the Okedare’s achievements in the last two and half years would require extra efforts from whoever takes over from him to meet the set targets let alone surpass it.
He said this while addressing Moro indigenes and stakeholders at the monthly constituency meeting convened by Okedare,who is deputy speaker ,at Baba Dudu Ward on Saturday. He called for greater support for the lawmaker to enable him to perform more.
The senatorial chairman who described Okedare as God sent to the people of his constituency and Moro noted that he had over the years continued to distinguish himself with various programmes that have positive impact on his people. Speaking, Hon. Matthew Okedare said  that the essence of the monthly meeting was to be closer to his constituents as that would afford him great opportunity to get first hand information about their well-being.
The legislator appreciated his constituents’ support and cooperation with him and the party, despite the present situation in the country, saying that as soon as things improved government would not neglect them in the scheme of things.
Okedare who donated N1 million cash as empowerment to beneficiaries selected from 7wards in his constituency noted that it would go a long way in improving  their various businesses and their lives positively.
He, however, pledged that with improvement of allocation and the state’s Internally Generated Revenue, the House would ensure that government implement the construction of 5 bore holes per ward as contained in the 2018 budget to ease the people’s sufferings on water supply.
The deputy speaker also donated N200, 000 for repair of bore holes in Okemii and another community as well as promised to see to the repair of the malfunction bore holes in Baba Dudu Community. Earlier, the Village Head, Mallam Abdulrahman Atiku had commended the deputy speaker for his humanitarian gesture, urging other public office holders to emulate him and improve the people’s lives.
