Patigi Bye-election: Kwara Speaker Congratulates Rufai

The Speaker, Kwara state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi has congratulated the All Progressives Congress, APC candidate in the March 14th Patigi State Assembly bye election, Ahmed Rufai Adam, who was declared winner in the election.Adam-Rufai defeated his closest rival, Mohammed Saliu of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, with a wide margin of over 5,000 votes according to Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC as announced by the Returning Officer, Dr. Azeez Ibrahim at the local government collation center.The lawmaker, in a congratulatory message issued through his Special Assistant on Media, Ibrahim Sheriff in Ilorin, Saturday night said the victory reaffirmed the support of the people of Patigi State constituency to pro-people Gov AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq administration in the state.“Rufai’s victory is not unexpected, it further attests to the appreciation of our late colleague, Hon. Ahmed Saidu Rufai and the quality representation the 9th Assembly availed Kwarans. By this victory, Patigi people have paid the greatest tribute to Hon. Rufai who serve them till his last breathe”, Danladi said.“While congratulating Adam-Rufai on his election victory, I charge him to exhibit the uncommon passion, dedication and commitment to serving the people, as exemplified by late Hon.
